How do I register for a class?
To find a class, please visit "Cooking Classes." Each class has "Register Class Now" button. Click this button for the class you want to attend or just visit "Class Registration."
Instruction on Class Registration Page
1. Enter and select the information requested into the appropriate spaces on the form.
2. Review the information you entered for accuracy.
3. Press "Send" button at the end of the form.
Failure to click on send button will result in an incomplete registration.
4. Make a payment.
Payment is required to send by a personal check. Class Fee is now accepted via Zelle or Venmo.
You can also register class by phone. Please make sure you are required to register at least one week in advance. please make the check payable to Hiroko Sugiyama Culinary Atelier, and send it to the address below.

What is the format of your class?
We offer two different formats listed below. Each Class lasts for 2-6 hours depending on class. After the class, you will have relax time to taste all the dishes prepared during the class. Hiroko provides a set of printed recipes for all the menus.
Hands On: These are full participation classes. Students take part in practicing techniques and preparing the menu items. Hands-on classes are limited to 8 people.
Demonstration (Guest Chef Class): Guest Chef Class is designed as an observation class, participants watch while chefs explain and show recipe preparation and cooking techniques. Class is limited to 14 people.
Kids: Classes are limited to children between the ages of 10 to 15.
What is your cancellation policy for classes?
You may cancel your registration for a class up to 48 hours in advance of the class starting time. Please note that the Atelier will not send you a refund for your cancellation, instead you can transfer funds to another class of equal value.
To cancel a registration, contact the Hiroko Sugiyama Culinary Atelier by phone (425-836-4635) from 9AM-5PM PST. No refund or exchanges will be given on classes that are cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the class. The Atelier reserves the right to cancel any class that fails to attract sufficient enrollment, chef illness or inclement weather. We will contact you by email or telephone and issue a full refund or you may request to be transferred to another class of your choice (depending on availability). If you miss a class due to weather-related concerns, our standard cancellation policy applies.

What should I wear? Anything to bring?
Wear comfortable, casual clothing. Please bring class apron, beret, kitchen towel, and pencil or pen. The Atelier provides a letter size clipboard, it will be convenient to write notes during the class.
